This happens to be our first time at Morton’s Steakhouse. We met up with some friends for dinner here to take advantage of their menu on Houston Restaurant Weeks $45 a person deal.
While we waited to place our order they brought out a huge loaf of bread. It honestly was really really good, but really really messy. The butter was nice and fluffy which I love.
First course - Ahi Tuna Tower (avocado, pico de gallo, wonton crisps) and Morton’s Salad (GF) (blue cheese dressing and chopped egg). The ahi tuna tower was really good! I would pass next time on the Morton’s Salad or stick with a Caesar.
Second course – D ordered a whole lobster they had on specail to go with the 6 oz. Filet Mignon. I ordered the Chicken Bianco (artichoke, capers & white wine sauce) The chicken was nice and moist and the sauce complimented the dish well.
Dessert - Souffle for Two, Morton’s Double Chocolate Mousse, Key Lime Pie and Hot Chocolate Cake (extra $5). After tasting them all we had a hard time figuring out which ones where our favorites. There’s no bad choice here.
I loved the old steakhouse feel of the place and plan on returning another time. The Houston Restaurant Week is a good deal which we didn’t want to pass up.
